My dearest readers, I am not sure how many of you are local to the Lynchburg, VA, area, but if you are, I would like to share something with you.
This morning a very lovely store had its grand opening. It is called “Pastiche at Main”.
Located in downtown Lynchburg, this store is basically an awesome live version of Etsy. It is filled with handmade, upcycled, and restored items from local craftspeople and artists.
I wish I had taken pictures of the store when I went in today, but I had a full load of babies. I did, however, pick up a few cute things for some little people in my life:
I couldn’t tell you how excited, satisfied, and special I felt walking out with my purchase from Pastiche at Main. My items were placed in a brown paper bag with the store’s logo, and were wrapped in tissue paper with business cards from the store owner and each of the craftspeople that made the items. And one more card:
For those of you that can’t read that, it says: “A portion of your proceeds benefited a child’s life today. Visit www.brentwoodchurch.org/mosaic.”
(Mosaic is our church’s program to help family’s foster and adopt children both locally and abroad.)
Seriously, what is there not to love about this store? Great handmade, hand-selected items, plus some of the proceeds are benefiting the fatherless.
If you are local to Lynchburg, VA, or you are planning to make a trip here, stop at Pastiche at Main. You will not be disappointed.
