Because Madeline ate it all.
We have officially hit a growth spurt around here. After each and every meal Madeline tells me, “I’m still hungry, Mom.”
So we go through the funny dance of:
Madeline: Can I have crackers?
Me: No, you may have a fruit or vegetable.
Madeline: How ’bout cheese?
Me: No. Would you like carrots and ranch?
Madeline: Uhhhh, no. Yea, yea, yea.
Seriously, this girl.
Funnily enough it sounds like several friends of mine have children going through growth spurts right now. Maybe it’s a winter phenomenon?
I’m not sure, but I know what I am sure of: I am most definitely glad that Madeline has a big appetite and hardly complains about all the fantastically vegetable filled plates I’ve been serving her lately.
A hungry kid is not a picky kid.
